Where is Apollo Bay Aviation?
Apollo Bay Aviation is conveniently located at Apollo Bay Airport, just 2.5 km west of the Apollo Bay township. Easily accessible by road, our location offers a perfect starting point for your scenic helicopter journey along Victoria’s stunning coastline.
Are the tours good for special occasions?
Our tours are ideal for families, couples, and anyone looking to create lasting memories. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply want to experience something unique together, our scenic flights offer an unforgettable adventure. Looking for the perfect gift? Surprise a loved one with the gift of flight — our Gift Vouchers make an amazing present for any occasion!
How long are Gift Vouchers valid for?
Our gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase, giving you plenty of time to plan your scenic adventure. After the 12-month period, if you haven’t had the chance to use the voucher, a 25% re-activation fee will apply to extend its validity. We recommend redeeming your voucher within the year to fully enjoy the experience, but should you need extra time, we’re happy to accommodate with a small re-activation fee. It’s the perfect gift to look forward to, whenever you’re ready!

What if the weather isn't suitable to fly?
If your flight is cancelled due to inclement weather, we will work with you to reschedule your tour at the earliest available opportunity. However, if rescheduling is not feasible, a full refund will be issued.
Please note, the company is not responsible for any costs incurred by passengers as a result of changes to their independent travel plans, including accommodation, transport, or other bookings. This applies to operational changes made to our tour schedule, including weather-related delays. We recommend allowing extra flexibility in your itinerary to accommodate potential changes.
Could the booked route change?
Please note that all flight routes and schedules are subject to change without prior notice and are at the discretion of the pilot. This is primarily due to weather conditions, safety considerations, and operational requirements. We strive to provide a smooth and enjoyable experience, but appreciate your understanding and flexibility in the event of any adjustments.
What if there is an unscheduled delay?
Any overnight accommodation costs resulting from unscheduled delays, including weather-related or operational issues, will be the responsibility of the client. We recommend factoring in additional flexibility in your travel plans to account for such unforeseen circumstances.
Whilst we do everything we can to minimise delays, we appreciate your understanding that these costs are outside of our control.
Are all flights available every day?

Due to operational demands and scheduling, certain flights may be subject to limited availability, which could impact pricing and options. We recommend booking in advance to secure your preferred flight and avoid any potential limitations.
Do I need travel insurance?
Apollo Bay Aviation strongly advises all passengers to purchase travel insurance prior to booking. This will provide added peace of mind in case of unforeseen circumstances that may affect your travel plans. Travel insurance can help cover potential costs related to cancellations, delays, or other unexpected events, ensuring that your experience remains as smooth and stress-free as possible.
Can I make changes to my booking?
If you need to make changes to your booking, such as adjusting the date or time, simply contact us as soon as possible. We’ll do our best to accommodate your request, subject to availability. Please note that changes are subject to our booking policy and may be dependent on availability.
Can I stay in local accommodation?
Absolutely! Apollo Bay and the surrounding area offer a range of accommodation options to suit all preferences and budgets. From cozy beachfront cottages to luxury resorts, there’s something for everyone.
Online Purchases
Is online booking required? For guaranteed availability, we recommend booking online in advance. However, we also welcome walk-in passengers. Please be aware that, depending on existing bookings, we may not always be able to accommodate same-day guests, so availability for walk-ins is not guaranteed. If you’d like some personalised assistance, feel free to book by phone or email, and we’ll be happy to guide you through the process.

Visit the Scenic Helicopter Flights page and choose a tour.
Click ‘Check Live Availability and Book’ next to the tour.
Review the tour page and click ‘Check Live Availability and Book’ again.
Select a date from the live calendar and choose your preferred time.
Enter the number of passengers and required details
(name, weight, contact, special requests).
Click “Complete and pay” to confirm your booking.
Receive a confirmation with flight details and what to expect.
How to buy a Gift VOUCHER
Visit the Gift Voucher page and click ‘Purchase Your Gift Voucher’.
In the pop-up window, click ‘buy now’.
Select the number of passengers for the helicopter tour.
Enter the number of passengers and required details
(name, weight, contact, special requests).
Click “Complete and pay” to confirm your booking.
Receive a confirmation with gift voucher details.
There is a minimum number of TWO passengers required for all tours to proceed. If that number has not been met, we will reach out.
All online payments are secured and encrypted.
